Nikai SYSTEMS can offer wide range of articulated metallic chain conveyors when there exists a need to transport or accumulate light or semi-light work pieces with finished pack-saddles, fins or any other special elements.

We also have conveyors with low friction plastic articulated chains available in several widths when low coefficients of friction from the chain to the transported to work piece are needed or when a higher degree of sensitivity in the transport of the finished pieces is required.

In order to adapt the configuration of the conveyor to a physical space or production area, we can provide standard curves of 90º and 180º. Other special curves with specific angles can be made to order.
Except special cases, all our conveyors us chains with TAB.

SELECTION CRITERIA FOR TYPES OF CHAIN

POLYOXYMETHYLEN (LOW FRICTION PLASTIC)

The polyoxymethylen (POM) chains are suitable for products using accumulation that are dry and have neither edges nor sharp ends. POM is a thermoplastic material with very good mechanical and thermal properties. It is also characterized by its high resistance, elasticity and dimensional stability. This material is resistant to a great variety of chemical agents. It has a low coefficient of friction and is highly resistance to wear.
Work Temperature: -40ºC to +90ºC.
Colour of the Chain: Brown.

SPECIAL HARDENED STEEL (CARBON)

Steel chains are used in high temperature workplace and in applications where the products to transport are heavy, abrasives, etc. These chains are made of special hardened steel with 0,45 % of carbon and a hardness of 36-42 HRC.
Pin material for chains made of this special hardened steel: 18/8 CrNi cold drawn to high hardness and strength.
Work Temperature: -70ºC to + 430ºC.
Magnetic properties: Magnetic.

FERRITIC STAINLESS STEEL

The stainless steel chains are used in applications similar to those of steel and in the food industry where they must comply with F.D.A. standards. Bear in mind that the aluminium chassis can be subject to decomposition when cleaned with caustic soda. The ferritic quality allows high wearability and is economical where demands for corrosion are not very strong. Ferritic quality contains 17,5 % of chrome.
